Overview The music licensing landscape in Finland is relatively similar to that of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Creators including composers Erkki Melartin and Leevi Madetoja help to found Teosto, TekijÀt ja Sanoittajat Oikeutta Vaatimaan or Composers and Lyricists to Demand Their Right. Later, in 1967, Gramex was also established. Working collaboratively, Gramex and Teosto founded GT Musiikkiluvat in 2016 as a partnership to make it easier and simpler for businesses to purchase and manage their music licenses. How to Get a License in Finland A Musiikkiluvat license is fully comprehensive, covering music and video content together. It is possible to get a quote and purchase a music license online, with a few exceptions where it may be required to contact customer service.
